It is true what they say about Italian families, we love food. Our love affair with food is more than just eating, it’s a matter of culture and identity. Italians think about food as something pleasurable and therefore communicate their passion to their children. It is a matter of simplicity and community. Food is always a reminder that life can be complicated and hard, sad and cold, but that happiness is just a matter of a few delicious ingredients.
Welcome to A Foodie Romance. My name is Jennifer Brummel and I have been cooking and baking since I was tall enough to reach the countertops. It is a passion of mine and a lot of my family members. Growing up food was a big part of our family. I remember the first time my husband went to a family function, not only was he overwhelmed by the number of people, but also the amount of food. He didn’t know how he was going to be able to choose what to eat because he wanted to try everything! To this day I still see the importance of good food and teaching my kids to cook and bake. It not only teaches the kids essential life skills, but it also brings us closer together as a family.
We all see those recipes come up on our Facebook feed. We save them, but how often do you actually make them? You will find a review of those recipes here with the feedback of my family and friends. They can be my toughest critics when it comes to the food that I make. You can also expect to find other recipes that I have tried or come up with over the years.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope that you enjoy the recipes and stay connected.
